Wish I could be as sanguin about Directv. The local NBC affiliate swears
that they're sending DVS with several shows, yet none of them come out that
way with Directv. TThey said that they'd look into the problem, but it's
been two weeks and nothing has changed.

All I can say is good luck with Dish. Been there and done that and can
tell you first hand that Dish doesn't care about accessibility, even
after having filed an FCC complaint.
I switched to DirecTV and never looked back.
