Yes, I am very interested to see what people say about this subject.
Personally, I prefer the old way. I like to knowing that the cursor would
remain where I left it, if I accidentally moved while composing. Also, when
writing something longer, I would frequently stop and touch the edit box to
hear the whole message read, to see what I thought a bit bus far. Being the way
it is now, of course this leads to accidentally moving the cursor. With a text
message for example, one can still doublecheck and have it read, but one must
find the send button first and then flick left. Unfortunately for me, I am not
always accurate. So I end up accidently touching the edit box. Thus I moves the
cursor and it doesn't read the whole message. So now not only have I not had
the whole message read, but I've also inadvertently moved the cursor somewhere
I don't want it.

So then it now I have to correct my mistake and get the cursor back to the end,
as well as successfully locate the send button too then flick left and have the
entire message read. It seems to be a lot more steps. Certainly more
frustration.

Yes this may all be chocked up to operator error.

I am not sure if my subject line says exactly what I'm talking about. There
have been messages on here about problems people have with VO jumping around if
they stray outside of the keyboard while typing in an edit field. This is
causing no problem for other people. I am curious what you see as the advantage
to this new way of doing things. What might have been the motivation for the
change. Or do you think it was just a side effect of something else in the new
OS?
