You could use reminders instead. Even Siri can remind you on that date but
you have to use the default time which if I remember right is 9 o'clock in
the morning. It works for me though and I can tell Siri to delete them too.

Cool. Is there a way to only have a list of your appointments? rather than
the day or month views? In older versions of the calendar back in IOS 5 I
think, you could switch to list and only see your appointments with no days
or months being shown for example now, I hate scrolling through the screen
and hearing every single day of the month when looking for an appointment.
I haven’t used the iphone calendar much and am looking into it more so

The calendars have no special features, they are for categorizing. I put
things like doctors appointments on my home calendar, and client visits on
my work calendar, for instance. It lets you keep different events
separate, so you can look at only work events for instance. You can also
