Hi Keith, In iOS 7 just flick down or up once when you are on the message you want to forward. Your action rotor should be active unless you turned the rotor to something else and flicking up or down once puts the action rotor on "More". Double tap on this and the message you are on will get selected and the Forward and Delete buttons appear at the bottom above the home key. If you want to forward multiple messages in a thread just double tap each message and it will show as selected, when you are done double tap on Forward.
Basically the "More" option in the action rotor has replaced the edit button which was there in iOS 6.
