You should be able to associate it with a new computer without erasing
it. I've done it before several times but don't remember how. Also,
the only way to get the music off the IPod is to buy a program which
can be used to pull the music off it. Again I don't remember the name
of a good one. I had a lot of trouble fining such a program last year.
Their is a lot of trashy sites when you do a search for it.
