More on the timer with Siri.
You can say either pause or stop timer and it will pause. In a way, that is
as good as stop because it will not run again until you give it another
command. You can say resume timer, and it will start where you left off. You
can also say reset timer, and it will reset to the last time you gave it.
While there is no way to set it to 0, that's OK, because even when the timer
sounds the alarm to end a timed session, if you say show timer, it will be
set to 1 minute. Of course, it is stopped at that point. So, I find this to
work very well. This is all with iOS 7. I am not sure if it works this way
on earlier operating systems.

Rose, I don't understand what you are saying. You said, "switching from stop
to a sound is not something Siri can do to my knowledge.

Are you saying that you cannot stop the timer by using Siri? If so, you are,
in part correct. You can stop the timer by saying stop timer. The timer will
pause at the time left. You can say reset timer, and the timer will reset
itself to the last number of minutes you gave it. But, I have found no way
to stop the timer and reset it to 0 by using Siri. However, If you stop it,
it will not run again until you re-start it, or give it a different number
of minutes.

Yes, well, I use the timer for other things, cooking, baking, doing laundry
and much more, switching from stop to a sound is not something Siri can do
to my knowledge which is the reason I don't use it to stop Bard, I use it
often for various things during day.

Well not true really.

As long as you set it for stop playng the first time you never need to
touch it again.

All you have to do is say "set sleep timer for 30 minutes" to siri and she
will say ok 30 minutes and counting.

It couldn't get any better then that.
