Hi, Russ and all. These seem to be some odd encryption/obfuscation method used by certain providers. I wrote to Winston at VoiceDream asking about using the files from archive.org on VDR, which would be wonderful, and generally asking what encrypted files meant in this context. He explained as follows:
"Theses are DAISY files with encrypted file names used mainly in Europe."
