It is several years old now, so has the original 30-pin connector. However, it works great with the 30-pin to lightning adapter for my iPhone 5, Touch and iPad Mini, even in cases. This speaker/dock has an internal rechargeable battery that lasts a good long time. It will recharge the iDevice whether the speaker is plugged into power or not. It has an auxiliary 3.5mm jack for those devices that do not connect with the pin or lightning plug. The speaker only has three buttons for base, a volume rocker and power. The sound is excellent, especially considering it was originally $120-something and now is under $50. Very portable and comes with a very nice padded carry pouch that doubles brilliantly for a wine bottle. (Note the link is wrapping to the second line.) HTH!
