In the calendar, after you enter an appointment and touch done, go to the left-hand corner and double tap and 2013 will come up. I either swipe to look for the day at this point or double tap 2013 to go to search and look for the day there. It will say you have an appointment, and double tap to run through the times of day to find the appointment. Maybe someone else has an easier way, and I would welcome the answer too. The calendar still confuses me a bit compared to the old one.
