Hi Jed, Assuming that the meters are digital: 1. Please check if the equipment has a serial interface. If so, it is possible to write a program for interpretting the sensor's output.
2. You should hire a programmer and get him to develop a program to read the text of these meters. It is easy to do if the programmer knows image processing. I doubt standard off-the-shelf OCR programs will work. 3. If you do want to try OCR, place the meters at a 90 degree angle from the phone and then try using prizmo or Abbyy text grabber.
