Thanks, Ricardo. I know I can go and disable location services for Google now. That is what I have done. However, that kind of makes Google now not nearly as useful as it otherwise might be. I don't understand why, if the app is not running, location services for it are still on. That was really my question. For example, I have GPS apps where the location services are enabled. But when those apps are not running or are not in the app switcher, location tracking for them is not on, and I don't see location tracking on in the status bar. I would expect Google now to behave this same way. But it does not.
