My wife and I got her a 5C when it first came out. Internally, it's
basically the same at the iPhone 5, making it last year's iPhone and
this year's midrange iPhone between the 5s and the 4S. It also has a
plastic colorful back, which I think makes it a nicer looking phone, but
that's obviously a personal opinion. reviews say it's a bit more fragile
than the 4S or the 5s. My wife and I were replacing her stolen iPhone 5,
and she's been happy with it.
The 5s will be a faster phone, and it has the finger print scanner. The
difference in price between the 5C and the 5s wasn't as large as I would
have thought it would have been, so if you can spring for the 5s you
should and you would be getting a better phone. If that price difference
is significant to you, and depending on how you use your phone, the 5C
could also be a perfectly viable choice.
