Eileen. I don't know why, I am starting to see that maybe the problem is my router. Why? Well, I didn't know it, but some times at home, my iPhone is missing the connection to the wifi, and some times my thermostat also, it is wifi too. More over, I reset my apple tv, and when I tried to connect it to my wifi, I couldn't, and each time I was looking more or less networks available around my router. I will try to do a firmware update, but linksys is not very helful with the model number, on the sticker says one model that is not available on the support site of linksys. I don't know, but I am starting to see that the problem is maybe my router. Oh, I got a linksys e1000, but the model number should be 2.1, 2.0, or 1.0 and any reference like that is on the sticker, so I don't know what to do now.

I am running iTunes 11.1.2 on both my PC and Mac Air. Under the file tab, there is a menu item for home sharing. Make sure you that the option listed is to turn off home sharing connected to your email account. This will confirm if home sharing is on for iTunes. I can't remeber if the home sharing in your network settings need to be on. On the PC, I clicked on Control panel --Network and sharing and tabbed over to "Choose Home Group and Sharing." This will open a dialog box that you can check or uncheck boxes on the items you want to share. I don't know if this will fix it, but it's worth a try. HTH. I wrote my apple account in the settings of my apple tv. It said, fine. I wrote my apple account password, and again, it said, fine. When I go to computers, I click on this icon, then my apple tv says loading library, and after a while, it says; Not able to connect to library, make sure that both devises are connected to the same network. iTunes is out of date, and iTunes is open. I don't know why it says iTunes is out of date, because I have the last version, I downloaded it from apple.com yesterday. More over, in my iTunes, when I went to home sharing, Iit is saying now turn home sharing off, because it is on now. When I turned it on, it asked me my apple account, and password. and after press enter, it says, done. But I can't connect my library. Any suggestion? ----- Original Message ----- From: Eileens Misrahi To: viphone@googlegroups.com Sent: Wednesday, December 25, 2013 6:34 PM Subject: Re: apple tv, and network problem Hi Pablo, I was curious to see if my home sharing was working since you were having problems getting it to work. I opened iTunes on my Mac Air and checked if home sharing was on. I then went to my Apple TV and set that up. On the first row in the main menu, in the fifth position is the computer link. I used the select button on the Apple TV remote. VO announced my library associated to my email address for iTunes. It did not start immediately and I needed to go in and out of it a few times before it would connect. I am now listening to my music that is stored in iTunes through the Apple TV as I compose this message to you. HTH. Ok, now when I am trying to turn on sharing in iTunes, then my TV says that apple TV is not able to connect to the library, make sure that both devices are connected to the same network. I have my apple account in my computer, where is running iTunes, I have my apple account in my apple TV, and when I turn on sharing in iTunes, my TV started saying that it can not connect to the library. Even it says iTunes is running in my computer. Now, my apple TV has access to the network, and to internet, I am able to play youtube videos, the iP address is assigned by my router automatically, and I don't know what else could be happening here.
