Jordan,

Go to Settings, Notification Center. Each app is listet here, you can double
tap on the apps and then specify if you want a particular app to be included
in Notification Center, which style of Notification you want (Banner or
Alert) and whether you want the Notification to also appear on the lock
screen. This is actually identical to iOS 6 if I remember correctly.

In addition there is a Setting in the Accessibility Settings under Voiceover
which says "Speak Notifications in Lock Screen". You can turn that off as
well although if you disable to have any notifications displayed in the lock
screen this should not be a problem.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: New iPad mini, and loving it!

Hey everyone...I just got a new iPad mini! Its fun to type on, IOS
7.0 works a great deal of the time, so do about 90 percent of my
apps. I'm still learning to type on it. I have one question about
the notification center. How do you disable having the notifications
come up in your lock screen? I thought IOS 6 fixed this...I'd be
reading a book, or Kindle and the notification totally interrupts my
flow! Secondly, how do i get rid of push notifications altogether?
I have a couple of bloomberg apps which love to duplicate! Aside
from those minor annoyances, which are IOS 7 and not iPad, or perhaps
even user idiocy, the iPad was one awesome purchase.
