Maybe it got moved into another folder or home page or the dock. If you're using VoiceOver, you can search for apps by switching to handwriting mode on your home page and start writing the name of the app you're looking for. For example, when I write the letter 'm' I get nine apps that start with the letter 'm'. To bring up the traditional spot light search, just do a three finger swipe down on a home page. Note I had to look this one up on Google myself.
