Hi All,

AudioStretch, a very good iOS app that lets you change playback speed without
changing pitch of audio files, is on sale today for $0.99. This is an
excellent app, which is also AudioBus compatible, but you're going to have to
label playback control and speed/pitch adjustment buttons, because the
labeling got broken in the process of porting this to iOS 7 and adding some new
features.

You can import songs from your iTunes library, or audio files from Dropbox or
other such filesharing app via the "Open in" dialogue. You can also pass audio
files to this app from other Audiobus compatible applications. When you open
the app, you'll hear VO announce the buttons for "Songs" in the top left corner
(to select songs from your iTunes library)' and "Gear", which is the "Settings"
button, in the top right corner.

Then there is a "Welcome to AudioStretch" text message followed by "0" for the
ttrack playing time. If you load a song, the text message area will change to
the Artist/Track/Album information and the current play head position time. The
top two thirds of the screen will display the music waveform, with a row of 5
player control buttons below this area. The playback control buttons are, from
left to right, "Rewind", "Play/Pause", "Forward", "Refresh", and "Action",
which lets you email the part of your track you selected. Below these controls
are "Speed" and "Pitch" control buttons, which you can label as "Speed down",
"Speed up", "Pitch down" and "Pitch Up".

There's a very long forum discussion thread that discusses the features and
usage of this app. My posted comments number 18, 19, 21, and 23 give
information on labels, buttons, usage, and mailing sections of the track.
There's also an AppleVis podcast by someone who used the comment suggestions
for labeling. Here are the links:

HTH. I recommend this app despite having to label the buttons. The price has
been as high as $9.99.

Cheers,

Esther

This lite version limits the total length of songs to under 5 minutes, The
speed change range is limited to 60% to 100% instead of from -250% to 250%, and
the pitch shift is limited to ± 2 semitones instead of 12. You are also
limited in your email export to 1 minute.
