Hello List,
Just this morning I replied to Ed's question about the next iOS update saying that iOS 7.1 Beta was released to developers back in November. I mentioned that Beta 2 came out before Christmas and that I expected Beta 3 to make an appearance any time. Well, I just saw that Apple released Beta 3 to developers this morning, nothing much mentioned with respect to changes, fixes and new features except something about iCloud and improvements in playing audio books in the Music app. I found a couple of articles where the author claims that the public release of iOS 7.1 won't happen until March because the new "iOS in the Car" feature is supposed to be part of it and it is apparently not ready. Typically Apple would release the first major update in January and I have a feeling that may still be the case because I have not read anything like this March release on any of the more credible sites like Mac Rumours or 9 to 5 Mac. I guess we shall see, but if they release 3 beta versions of iOS 7.1 in 6 weeks (November 18 was when the first Beta came out) I just can't see them taking another 2 months or more for the public release, they would be at Beta 6 or 7 by then which for a Dot 1 upgrade I just would not expect.
