Plus, with IOS 7, there is air drop. I have never used it, so I don't know
what type files can be transferred between two IOS devices using it, I don't
know, for example if a BARD book could be transferred, but it uses Bluetooth
to connect two IOS devices to transfer material. So, as long as you have
your iPhone along, you could download the file, transfer it to your iPad,
then delete it from the iPhone if you really didn't want it on the iPhone.

Alan, we purchased an iPad Mini for my wife. We have For]izon with a shared
plan which includes our son and the 2 of us. With our shared plan, the Hot
Spot feature is included at no extra charge. So my wife can use her
iPhone's WIFI with her iPad, and I can use my BrailleSense u2 from my
iPhone's hot spot. We are going on vacation starting next week and plan to
do this while we are traveling, especially as one of the hotels we are
staying at does not provide free WIFI. What this all is leading to is the
fact that because of hot spot access, I didn't spend the exffra $100 for
cellular data not necessary in my opinion. Hope this helps.

Hi All,
Here's what I know about WI-FI and Cellular data. I live in the USA. We
travel in our motor home as well. In 2012 we took a trip that covered
over
2 thousand miles. Some was in cities and more was in the country side.
Finding a WI-FI signal was actually harder then finding a cellular signal.
In my opinion, if your rarely going to use it to travel and you live in a
city where you have easy access to WI-FI then that may be all you need.
If
you travel often, then your better off with both WI-FI and cellular data.
I'm having trouble finding the iPad air with both WI-FI and cellular data
in
the 128 GB model. Everybody seems to be out of them but could have one
for
me in a week. Well both myself and my wife want the same thing so it
wouldn't be just 1. It would be 2 of them. I'm waiting for a call back
from the store where we got my 5S. Many other stors in my area didn't
have
the 5s with 64 GB. They all had the 32 so maybe it will take a bit
longer.
Don't worry though, when I get my iPad Air, you'll know it because you'll
hear me yelling yahoo! <grin<>

Alan

Hi All,
For those of you using the iPad Mini, which one did you choose, with wi fi
only, or with cellular?
If you chose wi fi only, have you been happy with that choice ongoing?
Thanks,
Crystal
