If I understand what you're asking, yes. The Kindle app syncs where you are
in a book across all your Kindle-capable devices. If I am reading a book on
my computer and stop on page 40, when I open that book up on my iPhone it
resumes reading at that spot.

Subject: Quick kindle question
I tried googling this for a good 30 minutes, and found outdated info
(2011.) My question is this...is it possible to sync magazines and
newspapers across iPad and the iPhone? Example, if i didn't have my
iPad with me, could i download the magazine from the cloud? According
to what I found, its forbidden, but that info was 3 years old! It
would be fantastic if I could read good books and not have to carry
the mini around.
