Netflix can be a little flakey to deal with. The only way I can get the sign-out to work is as follows. When I'm in netflix I have to double-tap and hold on the screen with 1 finger. When VO makes the sound I scroll upwards. I have to do this several times until the sign-out button is on the screen. I can then double-tap the button and it will ask me if I'm sure I want to sign-out. I double-tap yes and I'm done. The point I am trying to make is you can't just flick to the sign-out button. It will not work that way. There are a lot of places in Netflix that you also can't just flick to. I really hope this helps. It actually sounds more complicated than it is. You will get used to it quickly I think.
