Walmart, Radio Shack and other stores all sell portable speakers in all
sizes shapes and configurations. For example, I bought a small stereo
speaker that's around 3 inches high by 7 inches long and 2 inches thick. It
uses 4 double A. batteries or it's supplied power supply. My daughter gave
me a small speaker kit she got at Walmart. The speaker is a mono 2 inch
ball. It sort of looks like a 2 inch high Christmas ornament and it has a 4
inch cord ending in a 3.5 Mm jack. It also has a clip which you can clip to
a pocket or your shirt. The speaker comes with a cord that plugs into a USB
port to recharge. Battery life is around 8 to 14 hours depending on
discharge use. I have another small portable speaker that is about a 20
dollar speaker. It's a stereo speaker and is about a2 inches high and 5
inches long and uses 3 triple A. batteries. In other words, it's long and
skinny. The audio cable is actually a wrist strap. To use the speaker you
just grab the 3.5 Mm plug and twist counter clock wise. Then plug it into
your iPone etc and turn on the power button. The sound is very good for a
25 dollar speaker. All these speakers I've described I own. The last one
was my wife's. She's a registered nurse working in the kidney dialysis
field. She needed it for more sound from a 7 inch portable DVD player. She
used it to have her patients watch a dialysis video. They have a new system
built right into the dialysis chairs so she no longer needed it and gave it
to me. I asked her where she got it. She was the one who told me about
these small portable speakers. You may have to ask for them at Walmart in
the electronics department as they probably are under lock and key but they
are out there in all sizes up to the Bose Sound Dock 10 which will set you
back 7 hundred bucks but it has a Bluetooth adapter you can buy and connect
your iPhone to it via BT connection. The sound dock 10 is made to be used
with 128 MP3 files. The sound is amazing and not just in the low bass. The
dynamic range of this speaker will blow you away but for that price range it
should.

Alan

It sure would be nice to find a small speaker you could clip on your collar.
Bluetooth would be great. There are the flips headphones that you can lay on
your shoulders and use as speakers, but they were very expensive. I'm not
sure of the quality either.

I bought a pair over the holidays from Amazon.com for around $80. Note that
the fidelity isn't great on these head phones and you have a lot of
bleeding, i.e. others can year some noise leaking from these head phones.
Although I recommend them strongly when you want to hear VoiceOver as well
as what's going on around you, I wouldn't recommend them for music or using
in a meeting.

How much are the aftershokz headphones usually?
The Bluetooth moddle is what I'm looking for.
Also, how many devices can be pared with these headphones?
Reason I ask is my computer also is Bluetooth compatible and I'd like to
have a pair of headphones I can use on Both.
Thanks so much.

Aftershokz Bluez, but wait a few months because they are coming out with
an
update that should address some of the performance issues with the current
model.

Subject: Stereo Headset
Hi,
I am looking for recommendations on a stereo Bluetooth headset that works
with the iPhone 4s. I would like one with the foam pads, for answering
and
making calls, listening to music and books, etc.
Thanks,
Ward
