That's what gift cards are for, but you must add them to your account before making the purchase. Simply open the iTunes Store or iTunes on your computer, go to your account page (on iOS that is your Apple ID near the bottom), and you should see a "redeem" button hanging around there. Once you tap that, you can either enter the card's code or use the camera on your Mac or iOS device to capture the code (a very easy process) and there you go.
