Is there a way to block a number that doesn't show up?

I just checked this out and it is possible. Go to your recent call list. Each
number is listed twice. The second of each pair is for More Info. One of the
choices is Block this Caller. When you choose that it gives you the choice of
Block this Contact or Cancel. I chose Block this contact even though the
number was not in my contacts. When I went back to the More Info for the
blocked number in the Recent call list, one of the choices is now Unblock this
Caller.
The blocked number is not in my contact list. I am not sure how to find it
later if I wanted to unblock it. But since the number I used as a test is
American Express according to Google I don't want it unblocked anyway.

Subject: Blocking a number that's not in your contacts

Hi Listers,

Is there a way of blocking a number that you don't first wish to add to
your contacts? I know I can block a number that's already in my contacts
list but what about if you get an advertising call, and you obviously
don't wish to have their number in your contacts but you want to block
it? Is there a way to accomplish it? Or is there a way of manually
entering a number somewhere to be blocked?

Many thanks

Andrew
