Andy, Shredder Chess is also very good.
I think both Shredder and Chess-Wise have a lot of helps for learning and they both have free versions so you can try them out and see which one meets your needs. Both developers made their apps accessible after it was brought to their attention that there were blind users wanting to use VoiceOver with their apps. As I recall, the author of Chess-Wise did his initial accessibility fixes in a matter of a couple of weeks and was the first. Shredder soon followed and they are both quite good. I ended up buying the paid versions of both, though I don't spend enough time playing these days.
