I have come to love Karen.
Thanks

Like Kroll says, it's really your own preference that matters
here. Personally, I really can't stand Samantha in either form,
but I love Karen, but only in her compact form. If I could get
Neospeech Kate for VoiceOver on my phone, I'd switch to her in a
second. Not that Karen is bad or anything--I like her quite a
bit, in fact--but I just like Kate better. Sigh. That totally
isn't going to be happening. Ever. Ah, well.
Anyway, getting back to Karen. I like her in her compact form
over any of the other English voices, compact or otherwise. The
only time I ever use Samantha is when I'm using my braille
display. Although now that I can tell VoiceOver to use the North
American braille table as well as Karen at the same time, instead
of having to switch to Samantha to use the North American Braille
table, I'm good to go.
Thanks,
Ari

Hi, while I've seen many others chime here about the voice
preference, ultimately it will be up to you. What I think sounds
cool might not be what someone else thinks sounds cool or human.
For example, I'm perfectly fine with the high quality Samantha
voice, yet can't stand the low quality one which makes her sound
like she's got cotton mouth or like she's about to stab someone.
Others have said that Karen sounds good, and that's true, but
only if you like the accent and the inflection. I'm not saying
it's good or bad, but you just have to try them out for yourself
and see what fits your tastes best.
Good luck.

Ok so I've got my iphone's default language set to Spanish. But
I'm trying to decide which one of the English voices to put in
the rotor.
So my question for all you awesome listers, is which one of the
English voices sounds closist to a human to you.
Its very hard for me to judge on my own.
Any further questions welcome, and any advice appreciated.
Thanks
Kate
