Thanks- I had first selected albums and then tried artists and was wondering if a choice somewhere was disabling that entire submenu. I'm finding that the context menus in the new version are now very limited and that I have to look around a lot to find alternative ways of selecting commands. Also have not yet found it possible to add single songs to the phone from the PC like before.
