Would this be a good option for the Iphone 5s too? I am interested in any kind of navigation app that I may be able to use that I don't have to pay a subscription fee for monthly or yearly. On my android I have the near by explorer and like it and was hoping there was one for the Iphone as well, but all I have saw so far is blindsquare and one other that charges so much per month or year.

Navigon is probably your best bet. You can either buy just the region you are in, or the entire US or all of North America which includes Canada.
