Hello Daniel, well my friend, you have caught the bug it seems to me unless I'm 
wrong. Which I very well could be. I had that same experience except for, I had 
six gigs of messages.  I couldn't think of what to do, I deleted my emails 
messages anything I could think of. You may not like this part but what I had 
to do was totally  erase everything on my phone to restore my phone and it got 
rid of it. I had to make it like a new phone except for with the same Apple ID. 
That is where I think God for iCloud, because I got everything back through 
that. Good luck
