It is too bad you find the standscan such a disappointment. If you only saw the first generation of the produmt, I could understand your response. The first ones were rather flimsy. But, they still worked, but I was very doubtful. Then having seen the new one that is made out of much sturdier cardboard and with stronger magnets, and I don't have the engineering skills to make one, I think it is a very useful, and clever invention. It makes it possible to get near perfect scans every time. This is just my opinion and we are all entitled to an opinion. Richard
