Hello Jeff Thanks much. In the meantime I read the pamflet and it is very clear to understand. It is just like you described. Regards Fanus

I'll explain as much about it as I actually use. Just to describe the controls, when looking at the back panel: the power switch is a small button. Slide it to the left to turn on. To the right of the power switch is the slit for plugging in a micro USB plug to charge the speaker. To the right are 2 jacks, one for auxiliary input and the other for auxiliary output. I don't recall which is which. To pair the speaker, merely turn on the power and it is in pairing mode. Then go into settings on your iDevice, tap on bluetooth and find the soundbrick in the discoverable list. Tap on it and pairing should happen in a few seconds. The 3 buttons on top are: Left is volume down. Right is volume up. The center button I don't really use. I think it will both start and pause playback. I know it is used for answering an incoming phone call but don't use that feature. There must be a microphone somewhere behind the front grill.
