I'm afraid I've seen no tvs that I would call accessible. I just got a relatively cheap one from wal-mart ($150 or so). I believe the minimum resolution you need to get is 720 p.

I don't want to sidetrack this thread but I have a question related to Apple TV; it might be a little offtopic so if you want to reply privately, that is fine. I am considering getting Apple TV but I need to get a tv to go with it as I haven't had a tv in years. My opportunities to go out shopping are somewhat limited so I may have to order from Amazon. I know this is a pretty individual thing as far as preferences, but can anybody give me a suggestion as to what to buy? I do sometimes have sighted visitors so I want decent picture but my main concern is sound. I like good full sound and I do like good bass but not the kind of bass that tends to make things sound more muffled because I do like a clear, somewhat bright sound but the bass would give it depth. Again, I know this is a matter of individual taste but recommendations would be appreciated: the more specific the better. It would be nice to go somewhere and listen to a bunch of tvs but often they end up sounding different at home than in the store anyway. I haven't decided definitely to do this as I have managed hapily without a tv for several years now but I am considering it. I also want to know whether people are happy with using Apple TV and a TV without any cable subscription as I know some offerings do require a cable subscription. Here is the link to the Take Control book: http://www.takecontrolbooks.com/apple-tv -- Cheryl I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf. I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper thrown in the trash! Then God gave me a new heart and life: His joy for my despairing tears! And now, every day: "This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Then there are other things such as Net Flix, which requires a subscription, YouTube, Radio, Podcasts, MLBTV, Trailers, iTunes Festival, Vimeo, Flickr, WSJ Live, NHL, NBA, Hulu Plus, which requires a subscription,, Photo Stream and several other features. Some of these others might require subscriptions, but I don't use many of hem myself to know. There is a computer section which allows you to turn on home sharing in iTunes which allows you to access your iTunes library through the Apple TV. And there is settings which is self explanitory. > All of what I mention is accessible with VoiceOver. > I am very happy with mine and would definitly recommend it to others. > > -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] > Sent: Sunday, October 14, 2012 10:40 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Apple tv > > How accessible is it? > For instance does it have VoiceOver on it? > > Sent from INEZ, my IPHONE > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" > Google Group. > To search the VIPhone public archive, visit > http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > [email protected]. > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/viphone?hl=en. > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group. > To search the VIPhone public archive, visit http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected]. > For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/viphone?hl=en. > > > -----Original Message----- From: Haya Simkin & guide dog Pammy > Sent: Saturday, March 08, 2014 7:55 AM > To: [email protected] > Cc: [email protected] > Subject: Re: Basic Apple TV review and setup > > Out of curiosity, what does Apple TV do?
