In the edit text of message body set rotor to edit and flick until you hear "insert photo or video". This opens your photo albums and you can select from there. For any other files you have to go into an app that can open the attachment you want to send and send it to mail. This should open a new message with the file in question attached. Less practical if you want to attach it to a reply to an other message, since you end up in a new blank one. Still, for photos and videos it's a nice feature. Hope that made sense.
