Going through the pile of email from this list. Anyway, if you enable
the Google Calendar and you also sync/backup with iCloud, be aware
that you will probably have some duplicate appointments. I have mine
set up this way and even though I get duplicate events, at least I
have my calendar syncing with 2 different services, which helps if one
service goes down.
