Hello Rena: Press the home button and wait for the tone. Then talk to Siri. It seems to work better to say dial (if you are not using a contact but just putting in a number). After you say dial wait for the tone and Siri will ask for the number you want to dial. When you hear the tone say the entire ten digit number.
