I'm not personally experiencing this but my friend who upgraded from iOS 6.1.4 to 7.1 is getting an Email App badge announcement when she swipes in the dock of over 17 thousand messages. I'm pretty sure she uses POP email and I would think the messages on her email provider server would clear when she downloads messages to her computer or other devices. Is there an easy way to clear this badge number? She was not getting it before her iOS upgrade and nothing has changed with respect to her email account.
