Up here being the States? If so, then yes. I may be wrong, but my understanding is that they're service doesn't' yet work in canada. Ting's just based out of Canada.
Ting is an MVNO that uses Sprint's network. Unlocked phones are what they work with. You can bring your off-contract Spritn CDMA device or buy one through them. To stay on point though, the iOS app recently released last month is completely iOS accessible.
