When I originally set up my experiment, I did not change the option that said
repeat never,so I just repeated my experiment, this time selecting Sunday and
Monday. After I tapped the on screen unlock button to turn the alarm off, I
then went into clock, and discovered that it was still on, waiting for Monday
to come. I did wait long enough to determine whether it was in snooze, it was
not. So, the on screen unlock button will turn it off if you have never
selected, and will leave it on, awaiting your next selected day if you have
days selected. If other days are selected, it is necessary to go into clock to
turn it off completely, or just tell searie to do it.

Supposing you have a recurring alarm, and you just want to turn it off for
the day and have it sound again the next day? Will double-tapping "unlock" turn
it off altogether?

Being that some are saying power button, while others are saying unlock
button, I decided to do an experiment with my iPhone 5, running 7.1. . I set
an alarm, and when it went off, I hit the unlock button, which silenced it. I
then went into clock, and discovered that it was off. Doing the same
experiment with the power button yielded the information that the alarm was
still on. I wanted to know whether it is still on, for the next day, or in
snooze. It only was in snooze, being that it sounded after the snooze period
was over. I was hoping it was off until the next day. Conclusion: The unlock
button turns it off.

I'm late to the iOS 7 world and when my alarm went off this morning, I
couldn't locate how to shut it off as I used to could in iOS 6. There was a
control to put it on snooze but I'm not a big fan of snoozing an alarm. I
eventually did this and then went into the clock alarm setting to shut off the
alarm but I was wondering how to do this when the alarm is sounding.

      Thanks for any help.
