Hello. That is odd for sure. My only guess is that the backup stores some form of data which contains the last time an app was updated. If that is not synchronized with Apple's servers then perhaps things are not updated correctly. However even that doesn't make sense because from what I understand the Bakup does not store the actual app itself, just the name and the fact that you had it. So in theory when it restores back to your phone, it should automatically pull down the most current app based on its name. I believe you have an unsolved mystery here.
