There really aren't any iTunes alternatives which give you the same functionality. If you rlaptop is as old as Jaws 11 I could see how it might be a bit slow, but it's probably slow in general. My personal experience is that a laptop typically has a slightly lower life expectancy than a desktop although my current laptop which is 2 years old is doing extremely well. Feel free to contact me off-list if you want to talk more about this.
