I believe if you do a single finger double tap when you hear the first notification, you won't get the second. What's really funny is I have my iPad, and both my iPhones setup the same way and they all go off at the same time and usually scare the helll out of me too! <grin>

Alan

No that will only allow one to change the text tone. What they want to
do is to stop the alerts from being repeated. This is a settings found
in Notification Centre under Messages.

Yes, you can turn it off in settings, sounds, I believe, that is, the
repeat function of it.

Hi friends,

When I have a new text message, the phone gives the audible alert tone
which is fine.
It then seems to repeat the alert tone about a minute or two later, it
seems to be indicating the same message, is this normal?
