I just use a four finger tap at the bottom of the screen to take me to
the last object in the dialog. I may have to flick left once or twice to
get to the delete button.

Thanks, I asked a colleague to help me and the point I was missing is
that the delete contact button is scrolled down the screen with a three
finger swipe down twice if it is useful to anyone else.
