By the way, with regard to my first question about Airplay not showing in the music player, the way I was able to play music was to first select the Philips from Airplay in the MLB At Bat app. I then switched to Music and played music through the speaker. I am trying to decide whether or not to keep this speaker and if I want to mess with Airplay at all. If my finding is true that you do have to join the speaker's network connection, thus not able to stream via your home network, then that doesn't seem so viable, since most of what I do listen to is streamed. Also, as I said, I don't really do music listening all that often, so it might not be worth it, and I will just stick with Bluetooth options. Incidentally, as I shopped Amazon for Airplay speakers, I saw that a whole lot of them showed as discontinued by various manufacturers. It makes me wonder about the future of the format.
