Are you on a braille input device, or mbraille? I find it to be the ! point when not contracted. I seldom use contractions now. I think more in terms of typed text mode, so type that in Braille. Irritating when you want to type all those words with the TO prefix - TOday, TOmorrow,TOgether, TOward and so on. mBraille users ought to feedback on this, would like to know. Ok, I could try it if I put contractions on for the experiment.
