Basically, you switch it to charge when the phone gives the 20% battery
warning. If you mean how do you know when to charge the Juice Pack there are
some lights that show the charge when the button on the back is pressed. I
sometimes ask my husband to look at these but mostly I put the phone on
charge every night so the phone recharges and then the Juice Pack recharges.
It uses the micro USB charger plug instead of the Apple one. On the phone
itself when I check it during the night it might say 100% charging and then
sometimes 100% on AC power. I presume this is telling me about the state of
the Juice Pack but I could be wrong.
