In the BARD Mobile app, go to the settings tab, then to Account Settings. On this screen swipe till you get to "use mobile network" and double tap to turn on/off. Though I recently increased my data plan, I would not do this for a long book. At one point, I heard that 1 hour of BARD material equals 10 megs of data, so a 20 hour book would be 200 MB.
