Hello Eric and all of you in ViPhone land, A while back, Eric gave me wonderful info about the Jabra Halo bluetooth headphones. I am finally going to buy them as I have a bluetooth PC set up for music. However, I see that there is a Halo2 as well as the Halo. The Amazon descriptions say that the 2 has improvements for music, but do not address whether the physical design has changed. I wondered if any of you have heard anything about the 2 from anyone who is blind -- I would hate to get the 2 and find that they had made a change that made the controls inaccessible. By any chance is anyone using the Jabra Halo 2 and if so could you please share your thoughts?
Thanks a lot. These are almost like a hairband girls wear that go over each ear. They are a soft padding. It is almost as though they took a flat strip about 2 inches wide and bent it to cover your ear, go over your head and cover the opposite ear. The sound of these was quite good. They do have a touch strip and buttons for voice & track selection. It is very easy to get used to using. Also, they have a cord with a male 3.5 connection to plug-into non-Bluetooth devices, such as book readers, etc. I just checked Amazon, and they are $72. There was something that sounded similar for $49, although I would examine it extremely closely to be sure it is the same device. A suggestion would be you ask someone sighted to search Amazon for Bluetooth stereo. They can very quickly skim the pictures to see if something meets your requirements. Last, I would suggest you not insist on Bluetooth three it really doesn't have anything to offer over Bluetooth too. You're one absolute must be that they have A2DP. Good luck! I would be interested in what you find. I am still on a quest for the perfect Bluetooth stereo headphones. Eric -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list.
