Hi, I assume you are talking about locking the orientation on an iphone.
First, touch the status bar at the top of the screen and then perform a three finger swipe up the screen to open the control centre. There if you swipe along, you will come across the orientation lock button. Put your phone into portrait mode and tap the lock orientation icon. It will now say orientation lock on. Hope this will help.
