Find your contact, double tap on it then double tap on Edit at the top right of the screen.
If you are in the Contacts app, do a 4-finger tap near the bottom of the screen and you should be right on Delete Contact, it's the last button at the bottom right. If you are going to Contacts in the Phone app, just touch on Favourites in your status bar and swipe left once.
