If you're talking about the setting Settings -> Notification Center ->
Messages -> Repeat Alert then if you set it to never, you'll see the
message once but it'll never be repeated. If you set it to once then
it'll be repeated once, i.e. it'll pop up once more after you saw it the
initial time.
