Hi Kelly,

I guess everybody has different perceptions as far as voices are concerned. I
think the American English Voiceover voice is quite OK. On the other hand a lot
of people made a big fuss about all the Ivona voices available in Voicedream
Reader. I listened to all the previews and there is not a single one among them
I like.

Anyhow, with 64 bit architecture and all that I wouldn't be all that surprised
if Apple added some more voices, maybe that add that male Mac voice, Alex I
think it is. We'll find out on Monday.

Regards,

We can also anticipate people with disabilities being featured quite
prominently in Apple's video to the developers. In each of the last two or
three years, Apple has shown a video on how developers have transformed the
lives of people around the world, including those with disabilities. One of
these videos featured a European blind man who used a navigation app to travel
in a forest by his home independently for the first time. I’m looking forward
to the 2014 developer video.

I personally hope Apple offers another American voice for VoiceOver.
The current voice comes across as bitchy. If Apple decides to keep the voice, I
will switch to another English language voice, although I don’t know if I would
feel comfortable with the other forms of English. I wish the SIRI male American
voice were available for VoiceOver. The man is so laid back and gentle.

Kelly
